Bernstein is Managing Economist at LECG, where he specializes in the application of statistics to issues of liability in both individual and large‑scale employment discrimination and civil rights matters. He also conducts statistical and econometric studies in commercial matters. He received his doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 1996, where he concentrated his studies in Mathematical Economics and International Economics. In addition to his work at LECG he teaches economics at Temple University. He has written several papers published in professional journals and has served as peer reviewer for the Eastern Economic Journal, Atlantic Economic Journal and the Journal of Economic Development and Cultural Change. Prior to joining LECG he was a Senior Consultant at the Center for Forensic Economic Studies and a Research Fellow for the Center for Research on International Economics. He also served as faculty for Ursinus College, Marquette University, Concordia University and the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Dr. Bernstein is a member of the American Economic Association, the International Atlantic Economic Society and the Western Economic Association International.
